My Eighth Grade Year in Short

Remember the first time you walked into school the first day of school? The day where everything was so big and overwhelming? The day where you say to yourself, this is where my next two years will be held? These were the thoughts that were racing around in my head like race horses on steroids at the Kentucky Derby. But although all my doubts, I kept my chin up, and this turned out to be one of the best school years of my life.

My eighth grade year was full to the brim with awesome friends. I met some great new friends that I hope will see next year. I also ran into some really old friends that I haven’t seen since elementary school. I’m really glad that I got to meet new and old acquaintances. I also made some good friends with some of the teachers.

This year also had countless funny moments. You have no idea what my friends and I come up with. In the classroom (when we’re not working, of course) its non stop funnies. At lunch is even crazier. We are always talking about something funny, or just something interesting. The teachers even like to have fun with us! My friends and I love to joke around every chance we get.

Although there were a whole lot of great moments, there were also some sad ones too. For example, one of my best friends moved away. I have known him for what seems like forever. We still stay in touch, but it’s still hard to have a best buddy move away. There was also a time where I thought I was going to lose another friend. She said she was moving, and I didn’t see her for about a week. Then, a couple days later, she came back! It turned out she didn’t move because her mom found a job here instead.

So, if you’re going to a new school and you’re reading this, remember, it will never be as bad as long as you hold your head high and strong. I know my year was bursting with awesome friends, filled with tons of laughs, and had but a few sad moments. I had lots of fun this year, and I can’t wait till the next year rolls around.
